3,000 poor and working people marched to the Chase and M &I banks today in Milwaukee as part of Occupy Wall Street. A march of about 200 in Appleton today also marched against a Chase Bank branch in that city. Yesterday, Oct. 14 in New Berlin and in Green Bay there were also marches against Chase Bank, the biggest bank in the United States, one of the most profitable. Chase is responsible for foreclosing on millions of homeowners. Chase Bank also funds R.J. Reynolds company which is waging war against tobacco workers in North Carolina attempting to organize a union with the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC). After the march in Milwaukee protesters then returned to Zeidler Park which is the site of Occupy Milwaukee. All poor and working people are encouraged to go to Zeidler Park at N. 4th Street and Michigan to hold it as the people’s space.

Dozens of poor and working people came out in Green Bay today at City Hall as part of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. After having a informational picket line at the City Hall, protesters marched to Chase Bank chanting “Bail Out The People Not The Banks,” and hoisting signs with demands such as “Cancel Student Loan Debt Now” and “Education Not Deportation.” A People’s Speak-Out was held at Chase Bank where youth, students, seniors, union members and others spoke out on the bank’s criminal activity such as foreclosing on them. Protesters then marched around the Green Bay courthouse before going back to City Hall for another speak-out. The demonstration received a rousing response with cars honking in support and passerby joining in with the protesters.
Another Occupy Green Bay event will take place Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. at the City Hall, 100 N. Jefferson.

Statement from the International Action Center — http://iacenter.org/
Sign the BOPM petition: http://bailoutpeople.org/handsoffoccupywallst.shtml
Billionaire Bloomberg has announced that tomorrow he wants to “clean” Zucotti Park, the site of Occupy Wall Street.
Interesting how when the righteous protest against banks gains massive popularity, Bloomberg suddenly becomes concerned about health and safety.
Where was Bloomberg when New Yorkers needed him to “clean” the city streets after an average winter snowstorm just before New Year’s Eve?
What steps does he ever take against absentee slumlords, who allow their building to fall into dangerous disrepair? Where was his concern when the MTA laid off station agents and closed bus lines?
Obviously the people don’t trust this billionaire and his police force one bit. The protesters at Occupy Wall Street have their own cleanup crews and are quite capable – indeed, more capable than the mayor, who puts profits before people – of taking care of their site.
It can’t go unmentioned that tomorrow at 1 PM, members of the Muslim community have scheduled Jummah Prayer at Zucotti Park, along with providing food for OWS members and anyone else who is hungry.
Anyone who comes out to defend the right of OWS against shutdown will also be defending the right of Muslims to join this inspiring occupation. One only need remember the recent revelations of the NYPD’s CIA-backed campaign of spying and harassment of the Muslim community to know how important this is.
COME TO ZUCOTTI PARK STARTING AT MIDNIGHT. IF YOU CAN’T COME THEN, COME WHEN YOU CAN.

For ongoing updates:
1) Call 311 (or +1 (212) NEW-YORK if you’re out of town) and tell Bloomberg to support our right to assemble and to not interfere with #OWS.
