Dontre Hamilton’s family denied justice again. Federal officials refuse to charge killer cop Christopher Manney

***UPDATE FROM COALITION FOR JUSTICE: There will be a press conference at 1 pm at the Federal Courthouse. The ex Killer cop will not be charged. City of Milwaukee are we not tired yet of this Corruption this total disregard for life. The Hamilton’s need your support! They need to pay for the things they are doing!***

MILWAUKEE — FOX6 News has learned of a meeting set for Tuesday, November 10 involving the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee, the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division out of Washington, D.C., and the family of Dontre Hamilton and the Hamilton family’s attorneys. It is believed a decision will come down as to whether federal criminal civil rights charges will be issued against the former Milwaukee police officer who shot and killed Dontre Hamilton in Red Arrow Park.
After Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm decided Christopher Manney would not be criminally charged after shooting and killing Dontre Hamilton — a Fire and Police Commission panel decided to uphold Manney’s firing from MPD, and ruled that his use of force in this case violated policy.

Manney has appealed the FPC panel’s decision.

This past summer, the Hamilton family indicated they were frustrated by the fact that the federal review of the case by the United States Department of Justice was taking so long — seven months after the investigation was launched.

In late July, Senator Tammy Baldwin and Rep. Gwen Moore expressed similar concern — and issued a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Last week, we told you Christopher Manney has been approved to receive duty disability retirement benefits through the city of Milwaukee.”

MILWAUKEE, NOVEMBER 10: ALL OUT FOR $15 & A UNION! BLACK LIVES MATTER! JOBS NOT WAR! PROTEST REPUBLICAN ‘DEBATE’

On November 10 in Milwaukee a wide range of progressive labor, community and youth/student organizations will rally and march for $15 & Union and to protest the Republican debate that evening. WI Bail Out The People Movement stands in solidarity with the people’s resistance! Here’s a listing of the events we know of November 10:

We will be collaborating with the Overpass Light Brigade (OLB) in holding a lighted message as we join workers at Milwaukee City Hall as well as other actions at city halls around the country on November 10th. It’s time we mobilize co-workers, families, and neighbors to elect people who will help us strengthen public schools, raise wages for all low wage workers, strengthen our freedom to stick together in unions, make it easier to access quality home care and child care, ensure that Black Lives Matter, and fight for comprehensive immigration reform.

Join us as we meet at Red Arrow Park at 4:45 where the MTEA and OLB contingents will gather. We will then join other groups marching at City Hall at 5:00 before finally marching to the Milwaukee Theater, where the GOP presidential debate will be taking place.

Trump has promised to deport all 11 million+ undocumented people in this country and their US citizen children, and the other Republican candidates have similar racist positions.

November 10th at 4pm we will march from the office of Voces de la Frontera Action (1027 S. 5th St. in Milwaukee) to City Hall (200 E. Wells St.) where we will join other progressive forces in the city to march on the Republican debate, which is close by. Buses will be available.

Justice for immigrants! Fight for $15 minimum wage! Black Lives Matter! ¡Sí se puede!
