In response to hundreds of letters and comments, Madison’s Willy Street Co-op has removed all Sabra products from the shelves at all three co-op locations!
Thanks to everyone who took action for making this victory possible.
About 450 people contacted the co-op and we are deeply grateful to them for using the collective power of words and purchasing power to stand with the people of Palestine. Official member comments on Sabra were more than five to one in favor or removal.
If you are a co-op member or shopper, next time you are in a store,
please thank Willy Street management and workers for listening and responding to this call to take genocide off the shelves, and let them know you plan to reward their response by continuing to shop at Willy Street.
We are currently figuring out our next steps to advance the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement in Madison. In the meantime, you can explore other ways to use the power of your purchases to support Palestine. In particular, we suggest the following:
