1/21/25 Statement:
The executive orders issued from President Donald Trump’s office regarding the LGBTQIA+ community, especially trans people, are harsh. They show that this administration does not care about the quality of life for this marginalized community or recognize them at all.
The thing is, though, no matter how hard this administration tries to legislate being LGBTQIA+ out of existence, queer people have ALWAYS been here and ALWAYS will be. If you visit the Wisconsin LGBT History Project, https://www.wislgbthistory.com/, you will find the rich contributions LGBTQIA+ people have made to Wisconsin culture and public policies. You will also realize the incredible resilience these people have in the face of intense discrimination, harm, and sometimes death.
PFLAG Waukesha will continue to stand with LGBTQIA+ people and those who love them. We will continue to educate, advocate, lead with love, and provide a place where everyone belongs. Please join us at our monthly meetings and consider a paid membership as a way to support what we do!

PFLAG is the nation’s first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQIA+ people and those who love them. PFLAG Waukesha is a local chapter committed to these principles. Our goal is to help all of our LGBTQIA+ loved ones live without fear of harm, discrimination, or abuse just because of who they are or who they love.
