CALL TO ACTION:
USPCN stands in strong solidarity with our friend, Ali Abunimah, executive director of Electronic Intifada, who was arrested by Swiss police ahead of his speaking event in Zurich. This blatant violation of his rights and freedom of expression is unacceptable.
Take action:
1. Email the Security Department of the Canton of Zurich at ds@ds.zh.ch to demand Ali’s immediate release.
2. Call the U.S. State Department at 202-647-4000, press 4, to urge them to also call for Ali’s release.
3. Sign the @swissactionforhumanrights petition at https://www.change.org/releaseAliAbunimah.
