Building Unity Spring People’s Tour Begins March 8, 2025

Why is the Building Unity “Votemobile” hitting the road for over 25 days this March?

We are in an unprecedented time of danger and uncertainty. Fascism is on the rise at home and around the globe. Many of us are vulnerable to severe and violent oppression and to the erosion of our basic human rights and needs.

It is our duty to resist fascism and all types of oppression and to build a united movement for the good of all.

In the first half of the “March to Election Day Tour,” we hope to make tour stops in over a 15 communities. (We are still working on the securing stops, venues, dates, etc… We will post the schedule here and other places including our Website: www.buildingunitywisconsin.org as soon as it is solidified.)

Three of the most important things that we can do at this time is to:
* find each other,
* get organized for solidarity and collaborative action,
* And, take every opportunity to elect leaders who share our commitment for Peace, Justice, Sustainability, & Democracy.

The MARCH TO ELECTION DAY TOUR can help us do all three. At each tour stop we’ll listen and learn; share plans and ideas; show up for each other, take turns, and explore the possibilities of acting together.

Most tour stops will host 2 distinct events:
1. One will focus on increasing voter awareness, engagement and voting for the April 1st Wisconsin Supreme Court Race. It will stress the critical importance that this race holds for the state of human rights, our environment, our democracy, and all aspects of our lives in Wisconsin. And, it will celebrate and spotlight the work of the local groups who are working to turn out the vote on or before April 1st. We will also give Supreme Court candidates opportunities to share their views and values with their own statements and by answering our questions.
To submit suggestions for such questions, go here: tinyurl.com/Candidate-Question-Submit-Form)

2. The other distinct tour event that we hope to host in each tour stop community will be a Community Forum that will explore solidarity actions to address some of our critical goals like these:
* Ending U.S. support for genocide and crimes against humanity.
* Learning how we can better keep each other safe (especially our immigrant, BIPOC, and transgender neighbors.)
* Helping Indigenous water protectors Stop Line 5!
* Demanding universal health care that includes legal and safe abortion care.
* Getting ourselves more organized for mass united action.

Please fill out this form (tinyurl.com/Tour-Support-Sign-up) to show your support for the Tour in any number of ways. Filling out this form doesn’t commit you to doing anything. Just adding your name to the list of endorsers will help! We will likely contact you to explore possibilities for your participation.

Please call Building Unity (608-630-3633) if you have the capacity to help with securing ANY of our three basic tour stop needs, in any Wisconsin community:
* One or more places to park the UnityMobile (preferably with good public exposure and close to the site of our gathering)
* An indoor space where 30 or more people could gather.
* One night indoor sleeping space (floorspace is okay) & bathroom access for 1 volunteer. (This could be in a private home, a house of worship, a commercial space, etc…)

And, we’ll appreciate your help publicizing the Tour to other groups or individuals that might also want to support it.
Sign on and share the Tour Invitation Letter: tinyurl.com/Support-Tour-Invitation and share this Facebook Event Page.
