Event by Louisiana Workers Councils
Join us on Saturday, March 29, at 2 pm at Elk and Canal to protest Trump’s cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, and all other social programs.
1.5 million people in Louisiana are on Medicaid. 59% are working, others are children, seniors, and disabled people.
Urban and rural clinics and hospitals will close without Medicaid. 58% of rural children use Medicaid.
867,000 people in Louisiana get SNAP (food stamps). 86% are children, seniors and disabled people.
It’s been 16 years without a minimum wage increase (it’s still $7.25/hr!) but corporations get $2 billion in tax exemptions every year in Louisiana.
Greedy billionaires are the problem – not immigrants or LGBTQ people!
Take to the streets with us to Put People’s Needs Over Billionaires’ Greed
