Hello everyone,
In response to the illegal ICE seizure and detention of Palestinian student leader and green card holder Mahmoud Khalil, protests are being held across the country on Tuesday, March 11 at noon.
Here in Madison, Students for Justice in Palestine has called a walkout and rally for 12 noon on Library Mall. Everyone is invited to attend.
Please also sign onto this petition from US Campaign for Palestinian Rights-Action and Palestine Legal to over 40 university administrations across the US, including the University of Wisconsin, demanding that they stand up against these attacks — which the Trump administration has vowed to escalate — and protect students.
All this is happening in the context of Israel’s renewed attacks on Gaza, its refusal to admit humanitarian aid and the cutting of electricity, all in blatant violation of the terms of the ceasefire. Summary of developments here.

NOTE: A judge has just issued an order temporarily prohibiting the Trump administration from deporting Khalil, and the case is getting a lot of national media attention…so attend the rally if you can, and be sure to sign that petition because the pressure is working!
