With Secretary Linda McMahon pushing her “final mission,” it’s critical that union leaders like you understand the potential impacts on students, families, and communities. Join NEA President Becky Pringle, AFT President Randi Weingarten, and others as we break down the stakes and strategize how to protect our students and families.
Our mission is clear: protect our students and protect public education.
- Join NEA on March 19th – Walk-In to Protect Our Students and Families
- Students with disabilities and students from low-income families deserve every opportunity to reach their full potential, but their future is at risk from cuts to programs that every student depends on.
On Wednesday, March 19, join neighbors, leaders, and families like yours to make a powerful statement about what’s important to our community as the National Education Association and tens of thousands of educators, students, parents and community allies are mobilize across the country to protect our public schools.
Why March 19th?
Our elected leaders will be returning to their districts as Congress goes on recess to hear from constituents like you on issues. Some legislators even host town halls during recess periods.
Now is the time to send a message: their decisions in Washington D.C. matter here at home.
On March 19, you can invite your elected officials to a school walk-in that you organize or attend, or you can even adapt these tools to organize a walk-in before an event where elected officials can hear our message.
