Unfortunately, JFC leadership scheduled each public hearing in the middle of a workday, which will make it difficult for a large portion of our state’s population to travel to and attend a hearing to testify about the Budget, which has deep impacts on our lives and livelihoods. The Joint Finance Committee has created a website and email address to communicate with JFC members.

The 2025-2027 Wisconsin State Budget impacts our rights, wages, working places, and communities. The Budget Bill will be one of the most important bills debated by the legislature this year. The Joint Finance Committee has the power to make changes or eliminate items in Governor Tony Evers’ proposed budget. These public hearings are designed so people can provide essential input on the Budget before the JFC convenes to take votes on all aspects of the Budget.
