The growing political attacks on immigrants, many of whom are union members themselves, on the working class, and on the judiciary are attacks on democracy itself. Regardless where one stands politically, there should be a shared commitment to the principles of fairness and justice, which are vital to maintaining the integrity of our legal system. And that means standing up to an authoritarian Executive Branch.
