Trader Joe’s is illegally banning union literature – Sign Petition

Trader Joe’s is illegally banning workers from sharing union literature in break rooms – yes, again.

Federal law protects our right to communicate with coworkers about our union. The NLRB has upheld it. So has the court in last year’s Apple v. Communication Workers case. But Trader Joe’s thinks it’s above the law – and is threatening employees with discipline just for posting union updates where workers eat lunch.

We’ve seen this playbook before. Trader Joe’s openly breaks the law and violates workers rights, and then uses highly-paid lawyers to drag out the issue in court for as long as they can, often draining our comparatively scarce resources in the process.

This isn’t just a technical violation. It’s a deliberate attack on our ability to organize. We need your voice now. Will you sign our petition demanding Trader Joe’s stop the illegal intimidation and recognize our basic rights?

We’re also asking customers to take a simple, powerful action: ask about the union next time you’re in the store. Trader Joe’s wants to pretend we don’t exist – but every customer conversation helps break the silence.

Corporate is already dragging us through a national legal battle, refusing to recognize the results of our union election in Chicago. Now, they’re trying to shut down our speech inside the store.

We won’t be intimidated. And with your support, we won’t be silenced. Can we count on your voice?

In solidarity,

Trader Joe’s United
