Sat June 14, 9 am – 12 noon — Empty Shoe Vigil for Gaza at the Farmer’s Market. Capitol Square, King Street Corner. There will be another “God’s Love Knows No Borders: Send Aid Not Bombs” vigil at the Capitol square during the Dane County Farmers Market. Over 200 pairs of shoes, many women’s and children’s, will be displayed, representing the dead. Organizers will be handing out information to Farmers Market attendees, urging them to tell Congress to:
-Insist on an immediate and permanent cease-fire in Gaza & the West Bank and a negotiated peace settlement. End blockades by Israel of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
-End US financial & military support of Israel’s attacks on Gaza & the West Bank.
