At 10 AM we go up to the 13th floor to attend the City Council meeting to urge Council to go on record against troops in the streets of L.A. or anywhere else. We will be urging the City Council to pass the attached resolution.
The Anti-Fascist Organizing Coalition has warned for months about the danger of Trump putting troops in the streets and martial law. It is now beginning.
Trump has federalized the California National Guard and put several thousand onto Los Angeles streets against the wishes of Governor Newsom. His henchman, Defense Secretary Hegseth, is putting U.S. Marines into L.A. in violation of federal law.
The people of L.A. are mobilizing and bravely protesting the widespread attacks on the immigrant communities and this abuse of power by the Trump regime. They are being attacked with flash bangs, rubber bullets, tear gas and other munitions.
