Please join us this Thursday June 12th for an art build to make signs and props for our upcoming action,the March to Gaza on June 14th! The March to Gaza (6/12-6/20) is a global call aiming to open the Rafah crossing to deliver aid into Gaza from Egypt; our action is a sister march showing solidarity and delivering the message locally that the siege must be lifted.
Our goal for the march is to be highly visible to the many people that will be out and about during festival season. We will be marching for about 3 miles, returning to our start point. All participation levels are welcome, you do not need to march the full route or you can choose to stay at the starting point. This action is family friendly; kids and families are encouraged to march with us or hang back and fly kites which you can bring with you or purchase nearby. If you’d like to decorate a kite you already own, bringing it to the art build is a good place to do so!

SUPPLIES: Provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like!
MARCH TO GAZA INFO:
WHERE: Veterans Park, 1300 N Lincoln Memorial Dr Milwaukee, WI (meet near the Gift of Wings Kite Store)
WHEN: Saturday June 14th, 3:00PM
ROUTE: About 3 miles long in total, shorter distances will be an option along with staying at start point.
PARKING: May be scarce, plan ahead and/or carpool!
BUS LINES: CN1, 33, 30, GRE
DRESS: For the weather and comfortable shoes!
