Local businesses and individuals have donated over 150 wonderful items including: gift certificates for local products and services; Badger basketball tickets; beautiful artwork and photography; unique handcrafted items; a weekend getaway; Palestinian solidarity items including books, jewelry, a thobe, a keffiyeh; and much, much more.
Many caring people have donated these items in the hope that their generosity will inspire others to join them in supporting the people of Gaza. You can view and bid on all the items here (and/or make a direct donation if you wish); bidding closes at 11 pm on Sunday, June 20th.
Some of the artwork featured in the auction is on display at Java Cat Coffee, 4221 Lien Road, Madison, through July 20, and there will be an artists Meet-and-Greet at Java Cat from 4-6:30 pm on Thursday, July 17.Don’t miss this chance to help the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) continue to provide desperately needed humanitarian assistance to a population that has now survived 21 months of genocide.
One other thing you can do that will really help: Please share this information with friends and colleagues who might also like to express their solidarity with the families of Palestine by participating in this community effort to fund MECA’s crucial work.
