Film discussion:
“Change, Not Charity” – The Americans with Disabilities Act
Zoom conversation: Thursday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m
We at Rid Racism stand in solidarity with all persons with disabilities in their ongoing fight for equity, inclusion, and full civil rights. Their struggle is our struggle, as our struggle is theirs.
In celebration of Disability Rights Pride Month and the 30th anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, commonly known as the ADA, we invite you to join us on Zoom on Thursday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the PBS film “Change, Not Charity” – The Americans with Disabilities Act.
If you are interested in joining our conversation, we ask that you please view “Change, Not Charity” on your own before we gather on Thursday, July 24 to discuss the film. It is free to watch on both PBS and YouTube. Both platforms offer accessibility options. We hope you can join us.
