Awdah Hathaleen – a deeply beloved anchor of resistance and solidarity in Umm al-Kheir, an English teacher, a father –
was shot and killed by sanctioned Israeli settler Yinon Levy.
Israel police are refusing to release his body.
The women of Umm al–Kheir— led by his mother, his wife, and his sister— are on hunger strike.
They are asking for the simplest, most human of dignities: to bury their son, husband, and brother in his village of Umm al–Kheir.
They also ask for the release of six male community members taken from Awdah’s mourning tent and arbitrarily detained.
Awdah’s friends in Wisconsin are asking for our community to support them.

• Urge the immediate release of Awdah’s six community members from arbitrary detention.
