MILWAUKEE! EMERGENCY RALLY AND MEMORIAL
With a ground invasion of Gaza City looming, the occupation has deliberately targeted journalists in Gaza in an attempt to silence the voices speaking out. Among them was Anas Al-Sharif, whose assassination was part of a calculated effort to sever Gaza’s connection to the world. The Israeli military later claimed responsibility, openly admitting to the intentional targeting of Anas.
Anas had been warning about the impending ground invasion and urging the international community to take action. Milwaukee is responding to that call—rising up in solidarity with our martyrs. Now more than ever, the people of Gaza need us to amplify their voices and demand an end to the genocide.
Join us on Thursday, August 14th at 6:00 PM for an emergency rally at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to demand accountability for their silence, followed by a memorial to honor our martyrs. As journalists in Gaza are being targeted and killed, the Journal Sentinel has remained silent. We refuse to let this complicity go unnoticed.
