Festival Foods Workers Vote to Join UFCW, Local 1473!
Workers at Festival Foods have taken a powerful step forward, voting 46 to 18 in favor of joining the
United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1473 (UFCW) Local 1473. This victory marks a clear message: when workers stand together, they can overcome any obstacle.
In the weeks leading up to the election, the company circulated anti-union materials aimed at discouraging employees from organizing. But instead of dividing the workplace, these tactics only strengthened the resolve of the workers.
By uniting around the shared goal of securing a voice on the job, fair treatment, and better working conditions, Festival Foods employees showed the power of solidarity. Their win is proof that no amount of corporate propaganda can silence a united workforce.
UFCW Local 1473 is proud to welcome Festival Foods workers into the union family and looks forward to standing with them as they negotiate their first contract. Together, we will fight for the respect, wages, and benefits these workers deserve.
