WISCONSIN: Stand for Peace, Free Palestine Events September 16-21, 2025 (City Listings)

APPLETON
Sat Sept 20, 11 am – 12 noon — Fox Valley Advocates for Peace Weekly Peace Vigil. Meet at Houdini Plaza, one block north on College and Appleton St. across from the Children’s Museum and City Hall. We meet each Saturday morning to support the rights of Palestinians to life, self-determination and the protection of their homeland. We call for the withdrawal of IDF troops from Gaza and a cessation of military aid for Israel. Because we pledge to be transparent and accountable, we do not allow the wearing of masks. We are not pro-Hamas and we guard against antisemitism. This event is hosted by the Fox Valley Advocates for Peace. kent1952@live.com

EAU CLAIRE
Fri Sept 19, 5 – 6 pm — Monthly Peace Stand. Wisconsin 93 Trunk & Golf Road. The third Friday of each month is Peace Stand time in Eau Claire, going on since 2004. We gather with signs at Hwy 93 & Golf Road, 5-6 pm, we visit one another and sometimes we sing. Stand and be counted. Contact for more information: helpsmeet@usa.net

Thurs Sept 18, 4:30 – 5:30 pm — Vigil for Palestine & Beyond. Stand at the northeast corner of Williamson & Blair Streets. Cry, “No, Not In Our Name! No War! No Genocide!”

Part of UW’s Cinematique’s War and Innocence film series. A 1994 film, directed by Isao Takahata. In the final months of World War II, a teenage boy and his young sister struggle to survive alone in the devastated landscape of firebombed Japan, their bond deepening as the world around them collapses.
