Democracy Action: World Dairy Expo
Thousands of people from all over the world will be attending the World Dairy Expo later this month in Madison, WI at the Alliant Energy Center. 70% of the labor in Wisconsin Dairy Farming is done by immigrants! We support our essential immigrant workers!
What: Holding signs in solidarity with farmers, farm workers, and protesting ICE.
When: Wednesday October 1, 4pm to 5pm Bring: signs and noisemakers! – 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, WI –
Where it will be & how to get there: Transportation: Parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED – Carpooling, biking & taking the bus are recommended. Bus Q or Bus 65 go directly to the bus stop closest to the main gate of the Aliant Center. THIS WILL BE OUR GATHERING PLACE.
If you are driving – We suggest you park behind (on the South Side) of the building that houses The Delta Beer Lab. Address of the Lab is 167 E Badger Road. We will have pick ups from this lot at 2:30 and at 3:00. The main gate to the Expo is on Rimrock Road. If you continue south from the Expo on Rimrock and cross over the belt line the first road that you come to is Badger Road. Turn right on Badger and the parking lot behind Delta is about a block up and on your left. Please park back where there are a lot of spaces. Also – the Expo is only about a mile walk from here.
