Hello Everyone,
A reminder that the Lands of Palestine silent art auction for Palestinian families living in Masafer Yatta is underway. Be sure to get your bids in before the auction closes at midnight next Monday, October 13.
You are invited to view the artwork and meet artist Baz Sundark TOMORROW, Thursday October 9 from 5-6:30 at Java Cat Coffee, 4221 Lein Road on Madison’s east side.
The event is free and open to the public, and all those who make auction bids during the evening are invited to enjoy a free coffee or Gelato.
A collection of photo books about the families of Masafer Yatta, made by Madison’s Andaleeb Cartonera collective, will be available to look at during the event, and organizers will be available to answer your questions about the area.Participants will also have a chance to sponsor olive trees to be planted in the villages shown in the paintings as part of the Madison-Masafer Yatta Olive Grove project, sponsored by MRSCP.
If you can’t make it, here a video of the artwork on display at Java Cat. Bid on the artwork, donate, or learn more here.
As always, thanks for your support and we hope to see you there!
