MANITOWOC, WISCONSIN — We are one of 2,500 communities that are standing up in a nonviolent rally to say NO Thrones, NO Crowns, and NO Kings in the America! Cities and small towns in every state are organizing. In Wisconsin alone there are 83 rallies so far, and more register every day. The majority is taking action to stop the power grab!
President Trump thinks that his rule is absolute and he is using our tax dollars to pay for his power grabs. We are outraged by attacks on civil rights, skyrocketing costs, abductions and disappearances, gutting of essential services, and the assault on free speech. They have gone too far!
On October 18, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Washington Park – Manitowoc.
The Raging Grannies will start us off, and we are collecting non perishable foods for our local kid’s snack pack/backpacks to help them to get enough to eat to keep rumbling tummies at bay through the weekends. For many kids school is their main source of food, so weekends are problematic.
The Progressive Lakeshore People formed in March of 2025 in response to the Trump administration’s assault on our democracy. We have had many peaceful protests. We have over 700 members and we are growing as more and more people are ready for change.
The other important action taking place on October 18, 2025 is the opening reception for our Art of Resistance exhibition at the Parkview Playhouse at 932 S. 12th Street, Manitowoc, WI. From 5-8 pm.
Artists from all over Wisconsin have submitted their work.
