UW Middle East Studies Department presents the children’s book: Homeland: My Father Dreams of Palestine by Hannah Moushabeck (Author) and Reem Madooh (Illustrator). We will be reading the book to children, introducing basic Arabic words, teaching basic facts about Palestine, creating an art project based on the book, and sampling Palestinian cuisine!
This is part of a series that introduces children’s literature that celebrates the diversity of art, culture, food, and language around the world. It is part of a new initiative, Children’s International Story Hour, created by WIRC here at UW-Madison.
