An Evening With Author Nico Lang, Thursday, November 6, 2025, 6:30 PM
PFLAG Waukesha is partnering with area organizations to bring Nico Lang, journalist and author of American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era, to the Waukesha area for a community conversation. The book is powerful—filled with real stories from transgender and gender-diverse teens across the country who share what it’s like to grow up in today’s world. Their courage, joy, and honesty are both eye-opening and inspiring.
At a 2023 PFLAG Waukesha event, “LGBTQ: What’s It Like to Be You?”, we heard a common theme: LGBTQIA+ youth are craving guidance, support, and community. Nico’s visit would be a beautiful way to continue that conversation—this time with the voices of young people leading the way.
Books are available for purchase at a pre-sale rate of $20.00 (regularly $30.00). Contact info@pflagwaukesha.org for more information.
