Sunday, December 7:
50th Birthday Bash Benefit for WORT Radio
Atwood Music Hall, 1925 Winnebago Street, Madison
6-10 pm
Join us for a special evening celebrating 50 years of WORT community radio.
The scrappy little station that started in a small studio on Winnebago Street has endured and flourished for five decades, thanks to your love and devotion and the dedication of hundreds of volunteers.
This year’s festivities take place at the Atwood Music Hall, Sunday, December 7th from 6 to 10 pm. Some of our favorite local musicians will join us for an evening of music and community camaraderie.
The night starts with Lou and Peter Berryman and their unique brand of folk tunes. Please, let there be a performance of Oh Wonderful Madison!
The Tony Castañeda Latin Jazz Band will have you dancing, or at least toe tapping, to their captivating rhythms.
Renowned blues guitarist Paul Filipowicz and his band will keep things cooking in soulful style.
And long-time Madison favorites, German Art Students, top off the night.
Tickets are $25 and are available on the Atwood Music Hall website HERE and at the Atwood Music Hall box office.
All proceeds benefit WORT Community Radio. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Sponsored by Ayres Painting, Dane Arts, and the members of IBEW Local 2304, “A small Local Union with a big agenda. Representing field workers at MGE, the staff collective at WORT, and the professional staff at MTI.”
