Starbucks Workers United: Chicago gave us 48 hours of power. Let’s build on it

Chicago showed what worker power and solidarity look like this week. 🔥 Baristas filled the streets with 48 hours of nonstop picket lines, and even if Starbucks pretends otherwise, thousands of workers taking action is hard to miss.

This is the longest national strike in Starbucks history, now spread across more than 130 cities, with baristas demanding better take-home pay, fair hours, stable schedules, and a real end to unfair labor practices.

And here’s Starbucks leadership in a nutshell: CEO Brian Niccol running into traffic to avoid talking to one of his own baristas. Workers are keeping stores running. He’s making 6,666 times their pay and running the other direction.

Chicago raised the bar. We need you to help us keep the energy going! Since Red Cup Day, supporters like you have organized over 400 Stop Buying Starbucks leafleting actions across the country. Now baristas are calling for a nationwide Stop Buying Starbucks Day of Action on December 15.
Host a Stop Buying Starbucks Action!
Join in by hosting a leafleting action outside a non-union Starbucks store and talking with customers about why they shouldn’t buy Starbucks until workers win a fair contract and the company stops its union-busting. You can do it with a friend or on your own, and we’ll send a full toolkit, flyers, and a training invite. If hundreds of us take action on the same day, we can reach thousands of customers and show Starbucks what collective power looks like.In solidarity,Starbucks Workers United
