As a major arm of the US government, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regulates the international migration of workers to ensure the flow of cheap labor for super-exploitation by the capitalist class. It intimidates and represses migrant communities and treats migrants as scapegoats during economic and political crisis, when in reality it is US imperialism that is at the root of such crises that force migrants to work abroad in the first place.
This primer details how ICE is a tool of US imperialism, the impacts of ICE on the people, and what the peoples’ struggle against ICE and for migrant justice can look like. How do we use this primer in our organizing? Join ILPS-US as we read through the primer and find the practical applications in our movement.
