EVERYONE, no matter where you live, should attend the board meeting at Village Hall. (They have stated they have no intention of changing the venue, despite knowing what’s on the agenda and how much we’re promoting it.)
We request THAT ONLY DEFOREST RESIDENTS SPEAK this time and we need A LOT of you. There are two main talking points to read or put in your own words.
“I ask the board to vote in favor of the ordinance change Deforest residents have requested via petition.”
“In the absence of supporting a vote in favor of the ordinance, I ask the board members to postpone any decisions on QTS development approvals (to include annexation, comprehensive plan changes, zoning changes, conditional use permits or other) until after the proposed ordinance change goes to referendum, allowing the citizens of Deforest to make this important decision.”
Arrive early to sign in and if you are a Defo resident, also register your opinion on the form (5:30-5:45) and everyone should grab a No Data Center name tag!
WHETHER YOU SPEAK OR NOT, Deforest residents should plan to fill out the form when you arrive or online before 3:00 on 1/6/26 to register your support of adopting the ordinance.
**You either fill in a paper form when you get there or online before 3 PM that day.

Check one of the 3 boxes that applies to you:
*You wish to speak
*You don’t wish to speak, but want to register your opinion
*You have prepared something, but want someone to speak on your behalf
If someone is speaking on your behalf, you will include their name and address
Check YES, indicating you are in support of the ordinance that over 1,100 Deforest residents signed in November.
