Across the Twin Cities, baristas are stepping up to protect their coworkers, customers, and communities.
Starbucks is allowing ICE agents into stores despite clear worker and community concerns. Many other Minneapolis businesses have chosen to keep enforcement out of their spaces because safety and trust matter. Starbucks has refused to do the same.
Instead, Starbucks is ignoring the real, deep concerns of workers and customers, not just in Minnesota but across the country. Union Baristas are demanding that the company update its ICE guidance right now and respect the people who keep these stores running every day.
In the video below, workers at one union store in Minneapolis bring their concerns straight to their manager. They’re stepping up to keep their store and community safe.
They’re doing their part. Now it’s time to step up with them. Like, comment on, and share the video using the social icons below. Every share pushes this story further and increases the pressure on Starbucks to act.
Attacks on immigrant communities are attacks on all workers. When we stand together, we build real power. When we move as one, we win. Thank you for taking action and standing with baristas.
Solidarity forever,
Starbucks Workers United
