SCFL: Support Minnesota Labor Unions & Trainings in Madison

The Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation and Minnesota State AFL-CIO, along with multiple Central Labor Councils throughout Minnesota have called for a Day of Truth and Freedom for Friday, January 23rd.  “This will be a Statewide day of non-violent moral action and reflection: no work, no school, no shopping – only community, conscience, and collective action.”

Make sure to scroll down to see ways we can assist our working class sisters and brothers in Minnesota from Wisconsin.  And make sure to check out our in-person workshop this Saturday and an AFL-CIO virtual workshop January 28th.

Here are ways you can assist or otherwise get involved:

1) Show up in person this Friday.  Scroll down for other ways to assist.

2)  For more info on actions and events, go to this link.  Don’t forget to scroll down within the website and sign letters to corporations (Target, Home Depot, Enterprise, Hilton, Delta) that they need to stop supporting ICE, and instead support their communities and workers.

3) To provide economic assistance, you can support union members and other workers with immigration-related legal needs and services! The link below is a verified page fundraising effort for the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, AFL-CIO effort to meet the needs of impacted union members, worker center members, and their families with legal support and navigation.

PLEASE SEND CHECKS TO:

Where: Virtual (Zoom)

Why attend?

  • Stay informed with reliable, regularly updated information.

  • Get action steps and ways to support community safety and advocacy.

  • Connect with organizers, leaders, and neighbors working together across the state.

6) IN MADISON at the Madison Labor temple: We encourage you to attend the PROTECTING IMMIGRANTS AT WORK training this Saturday.
