EMERGENCY & RAPID RESPONSE FUND: Keep Minnesota Workers Safe
The ICE occupation in the Twin Cities is ongoing, and low-wage and immigrant workers continue to face urgent threats to their safety and livelihoods. This campaign has met its original rent fund goal, but the need on the ground is growing. We’re expanding this campaign into a broader rapid response fund to sustain emergency support and stay on the offense with our organizing. See our Campaign Update post below for more information.

Original campaign text January 2026:
Support our Emergency Rent Fund for Minnesotan workers and families facing eviction due to ICE Raids. We are calling for a rent moratorium, but regardless of if that happens in time, our community members need your help covering their bills so that they can stay focused on building the movement! Many households have been unable to work and locked in their homes for nearly two months now, please donate here to CTUL’s Rent Fund.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 to meet our members’ immediate needs.
Any funds raised over $150,000 will go directly into keep CTUL on the offense – driving change in Minnesota and demanding ICE Out!
CTUL is a worker center located in George Floyd square in the heart of south Minneapolis: Our membership of working and immigrant families need your support. Due to the ongoing ICE occupation in the Twin Cities many of our low-wage and immigrant working families have been forced to make hard decisions about whether or not to go to work and now rent is due!
The forces of cruelty on our streets want community members and organizations to be afraid. At CTUL we are going on the offensive and growing our work. We are uniquely positioned to support immigrant families who have been longtime members of CTUL and rely on us for support.
By donating to this rent fund you are not only helping vulnerable families cover rent and back rent, but you are also boosting their odds of staying safe throughout this occupation. Sheltering in place is the best option for so many of our community members.
This support will allow workers to stay safe and be on the offense in our campaigns calling on the largest developers and hospitality industry leaders to demand ICE Out of Minnesota and end the raids nation-wide.
On behalf of low-wage workers and working families, we thank you.
