Starbucks leadership has a problem. And it’s not just baristas saying it. 👀Turns out, union busting and stonewalling a fair contract isn’t just wrong… It’s bad for business. Long-term shareholders, including NYC Comptroller Mark Levine, Trillium ESG Global Equity Mutual Fund, Merseyside Pension Fund, and the Shareholder Association for Research and Education, recently sent a letter warning that the company’s “backsliding” labor relations pose a risk to their investments.

Starbucks union baristas are driving a historic organizing campaign, building real power as thousands have gone on strike over unfair labor practices in recent months. Still, the company refuses to finalize a fair contract and stop union busting, even though addressing pay, staffing, and protections would cost less than one day’s sales. Now, even shareholders are questioning leadership. When investors get uncomfortable, something’s shifting. What do we do with it? Make them even more uncomfortable.

Our Delete the App campaign is catching on fast, and we need you in it. Sign up to text fellow allies and ask them to delete the Starbucks app today, from wherever you are.

The app is central to Starbucks’ business model. It drives repeat purchases, loyalty rewards, and revenue.

When customers delete it together, it disrupts the system the company depends on and makes it clear there is no business as usual while workers’ demands go unresolved.
