STOP ILLEGAL WAR ON IRAN!
The Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine, representing over ninety organizations across Wisconsin, strongly condemns Trump’s illegal war with Iran, launched without Congressional approval, and against the will of the vast majority of American citizens.
This war was launched for the sole benefit of Israel, a foreign country, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, an internationally wanted, bloodthirsty war criminal. The lives of Black and Brown people around the world matter and their natural resources belong to them. This war is not in the interest of America.
Whether our president was blackmailed into this war, or due to the Israel First shills in the government, American citizens have made clear they don’t want another war, while they struggle to make ends meet. Launching this illegal war during the month of Ramadan, the holiest time for Muslims, and specifically bombing a girls school in Iran, resulting in over 100 deaths, proves that this was never about concern for the Iranian people, but rather setting the stage for a Greater Israel.
The WCJP will join dozens of organizations in a rally and march today, beginning at 5 pm at Zeidler Union Square (301 W. Michigan St). The Muslim community members observing Ramadan will pause to break their fast and pray their evening prayer after the traditional call to prayer.
