Detroit Says Stop the War on Iran!
After three weeks of round-the-clock bombing by the State of Israel and the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon, the war is still raging.
Despite the statements from President Donald Trump that he is making progress in talks with Tehran, the Iranian officials have reiterated that they are not seeking a ceasefire.
The Iranian government has demanded that the U.S. pay reparations for the damages done since Feb. 28 and that a permanent secession of hostility must be guaranteed in order to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to those seeking to utilize the strategic waterway.
Thousands of people have been killed since the latest resumption of hostilities.
On Mon. March 24, 2026, members of the Moratorium NOW! Coalition, the Anti-Fascist Organizing Coalition, Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice and others gathered outside the McNamara Federal Bldg. in downtown Detroit to express their concern over the continuing threats to world peace and the impact of the aggression on the economy of the U.S. and internationally.
