Welcome to Solidarity Saturday, your weekly highlight reel and shortcut to staying plugged in.
Starbucks is at it again. Private jet flights for the CEO, expensive conferences in Vegas, and now free drinks at Coachella. Share this parody and ruin Starbucks’ festival vibes.
Interesting that there’s always budget for that, just never enough to resolve pending labor violations or settle a fair contract.
For the record — that would cost less than one day of sales. Meanwhile, baristas are still relying on SNAP and Medicaid just to get by, and Starbucks remains the biggest labor law violator in modern history.
While they’re busy with PR stunts, we’re busy making moves. Here’s this week’s brew:
Congratulations to Greeley, CO. Hillsboro, OR. San Antonio, TX.
Three more stores just won their union elections, joining thousands of union partners at hundreds of stores nationwide. The more of us that stand together and take action, the louder we can demand better staffing, higher pay, stronger protections, and more. Baristas deserve better. We’re not stopping until they get it.
Solidarity with Philz Coffee Workers and Customers.Philz Coffee just announced it’s removing Pride flags from all its locations, and workers and customers are speaking out. Sound familiar? Starbucks tried the same thing in 2023. Baristas went on strike nationwide and won updated guidance on Pride flags in union AND not-yet-union stores. That’s what collective action does. We stand with everyone pushing back against this. When workers and communities take action together, they win. April 14th: Get on the Call. Get the Update. Help Baristas Win A Contract.Join us Tuesday, April 14th for a live update allies call. We’ll share where things stand after going back to the bargaining table this week and easy ways you can help push a fair contract across the finish line. We’re fighting for higher pay, more hours, and real protections on the job. A fair contract is within reach, but only if we all work together to move the company toward it. |

The ask hasn’t changed: don’t buy Starbucks, delete the app, and don’t look back until workers have fair contracts. See you on the call!In solidarity,Starbucks Workers United |
