MADISON: War profiteers, including Lockheed, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman plan a secret symposium in Madison this coming week, June 24 – 27. It will be hosted at Monona Terrace, and the building will be closed to the general public.

Most of the sessions and presentations will be led by defense contractors, Defense Department officials and representatives of various branches of the US military. Furthermore, thematically, this symposium is heavily dominated by topics of weapon development, such as hypersonic missile technology, advanced materials, and missile defense.

This event is restricted to government and government contractors only; is not advertised and is not open to the press or general public.

They don’t want any attention! So let’s not let them fly under the radar! At NOON on Monday June 24 and Tuesday June 2, Madison for WBW plans to be present in the MLK blvd block between E Wilson and E Doty. The goal and details are being defined, but the fundamental issue remains the same: the war industry causes global death and destruction of all life, suffering, loss of a future and we stand against it.

MILWAUKEE: Sundays — NEW! The Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine welcomes all peace organizations to join the “We Are the Red Line” campaign. It is a campaign which began in Detroit and is now national. It unifies our efforts toward a ceasefire in Palestine and reminds our elected officials that the United States’s support of Israel has gone too far. Every Sunday at Bradford Beach in Milwaukee, the Coalition and partners will vigil at 1 pm with red ribbons, shirts, and signs declaring our unity to see peace. Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to vigil wherever you are. We Are the Red Line! Contact dena.eakles@gmail.com
