Professor Patrick Bellegarde-Smith, the author and co-editor of Five books on Haitian culture, religion and history, some translated from the original English into Spanish, Portuguese and French, will lecture on African religions systems, on Thursday, February 9, at 12 noon, in the Student Union, Room 191 at UW-Milwaukee, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd.
Dr. Bellegarde-Smith is also a priest in the Haitian religion, Vodou.
Artist Ras ‘Ammar Nsoroma will exhibit his recent paintings of Orisha,
inspired by the Seven African Powers.”
