Dr. Luther Castillo Visiting WI March 14-18

Dr. Luther Castillo

Dr Castillo is a spokesperson for the Honduran People’s Front for National Resistance, an advocate for accessible health care, and a leader of the Garífuna people of the Caribbean coast.

Dr. Castillo will be touring Waukesha, Racine, Green Bay and Madison in addition to Milwaukee from March 14-18. He will be speaking on “Is Healthcare a Right? Insights from Honduras, Haiti and Cuba” at the following times and places:

The Latin America Solidarity Committee (LASC) has for over thirty years provided progressive programming on Latin America for the UWM and Milwaukee communities. LASC is a member of the Honduras Solidarity Network, which is sponsoring the tour of Dr. Castillo nationally.  In addition to LASC,  the Wisconsin Coalition to Normalize Relations with Cuba, UWM Department of Africology, Peace Action Wisconsin, Wisconsin Bail Out the People Movement, the International Action Center and the Worker’s World Party-Milwaukee are co-sponsors of the UWM event and others.
