Dear Friends—Our folks in West Virginia have an urgent situation. Twenty people are in jail for acts of civil disobedience in shutting down the largest mountaintop removal mine site in North America. We need to raise money ASAP!
One of the arrestees includes 20 year old Dustin Steel who was arrested, beaten by police, badly injured, and has been refused hospital care. We want to get Dustin out of jail today in order to get him medical care. Dustin is the son and grandson of West Virginia coal miners and it’s completely outrageous the treatment he has received at the hands of law enforcement.
You can see a video of Dustin speaking the day before the actions here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SEqcqKBzW9A
All of these brave activists are being held on a $25,000 per person bail.Donate now, and share with your friends!

BTW- I donated $25 and would love to have some folks match me.
Thanks, Scott Parkin
