1:00 pm: Indoor Program commemorating Dr. King’s call to confront racism, militarism, poverty and economic injustice. SPeakers George Martin, Fred Reed and Derek Williams’ Aunt Lashanda Shumpert. Performing artists Dorothy Jackson, Fred Reed, Andre Lee Ellis and Jahmes Finlayson. Honoring the work of Felmers Chaney, League of Young Voters and grassroots groups working to end poverty.
2:30 pm: March to the Dr. King Statue (MLK Drive, 1 block north of Walnut. Open mic to reflect on Dr. King’s message.)
