– How to join in the fight to demand money for people’s needs like JOBS, public education and healthcare NOT racism and war.
– U.S. weapons to Syrian contra (“rebel”) forces, Israeli bombing of Syria, bases in Turkey, plans for a No-Fly Zone and how the U.S. uses Syria’s neighbors in a new proxy war with the goal of total domination in the region;
-Understand how the U.S.-led strategy of economic devastation and sanctions works to destabilize the economy, weaken health facilities, destroy communications, cultural institutions, education, food production and sanitation;
– The parallels with Iraq and Libya, Syria’s overlooked economic development and its regional and secular policies;

Featuring activists, authors and speakers Mr. Abayomi Azikiwe and Mr. David Sole:
Mr. Azikiwe from Detroit, Michigan, is a member of the Administrative Committee and Coordinating Committee of the United National Antiwar Coalition (UNAC). He was a featured speaker at United National Antiwar Coalition (UNAC) panel at the 2013 Left Forum on “The War on Africa.” Mr. Azikiwe is a co-founder of the Detroit-based Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice (MECAWI) and Editor of the Pan African Newswire. As a political analyst and journalist, Mr. Azikiwe is frequently interviewed by international media outlets and his work is published worldwide.
Mr. David Sole is a co-founder of MECAWI and the Moratorium NOW Coalition (Detroit). Mr. Sole is a long-time anti-war, anti-racist, union activist. He is a past President of UAW Local 2334 in Detroit. In May of 1998 as part of an “Iraq Sanctions Challenge” delegation, Mr. Sole traveled to Iraq bringing medical aid to Iraq in defiance of the United States/United Nations sanctions.
