On Wednesday, August 28, as cities around the country hold Justice For Trayvon Martin Assemblies, we will march for jobs and justice from Beattie Park to the Federal Courthouse in downtown Rockford (Illinois). Once we get to the courthouse we will have a speak-out highlighting the issues we face in Rockford and around the country.
Gathering at Beattie Park (401 N Main St) and marching to the Federal Courthouse (327 S. Court St)
Demands we are marching for include:
– Justice For Trayvon Martin; Jail Zimmerman!
– Overturn ‘Stand Your Ground Laws’!
– Jobs & Education Not Mass Incarceration!
– End Racial Profiling Of All Forms!
– Stop Racist Police Terror Including Stop&Frisk!
– Immigrant Rights Now; Stop Deportations!
– A Living Wage & Union Rights For Low-Wage & All Workers!
