Milwaukee, December 9: What About Dontre? March From UWM to Red Arrow Park

EVENT: http://tinyurl.com/pg4jtlk

On Tuesday afternoon, December 9, UW-Milwaukee students will lead a march from the student union to Red Arrow Park to show our solidarity in the resistance nationally and to participate in the resistance locally.

We will be marching from the UWM Student Union, 2200 E Kenwood Avenue,  at 2 pm. Anyone who would like to participate can meet us in the concourse at 2.

We will march to Red Arrow Park to meet up with an action taking place there at 4 pm that is being hosted by the Coalition for Justice.

Maria Hamilton, the woman warrior HERSELF, will be leading the ranks.

Dontre Hamilton was murdered 7 months ago by former MPD officer Christoper Manney. Manney has not been charged, has not been indicted, and justice has not been served.

The Hamilton family and supporters have been fighting fervently for justice and need the support and voice of students.

This is about building a community which nurtures not murders.

This is about engaging in the revolution at home.
Our people are not a statistic, they are not barbaric, they are valuable to the fabric of our community. Without them we would all unravel.

Join us as we show our city that student voice matters, black lives matter, and we will not stand for any more violence in our community as perpetrated by the MPD.
