Free and open to the public, snacks and drinks provided. Join us in the large meeting room of the Center Street Library for a screening of the documentary Finally Got the News (56 mins), which explores the activities of the
the League of Revolutionary Black Workers, founded in Detroit in 1969. The film consists of interviews, video shot in the auto plants, and footage of leafleting and picketing actions, and documents the efforts to build an independent black labor organization.

6:10-7:05. PM. Screening of Finally Got the News.
7:05-7:45 PM. Discussion: history and present day implications
