Milwaukee, August 21: Radical Resistance. Resilience.

“Patience has its limits take it too far and it’s cowardice.”
— George Jackson

The Coalition for Justice realizes the importance of building, and engaging with our community and created an opportunity to do just that.

On Friday, August 21, 2015 we will host a free event in solidarity with Black August.

Black August is a month long observation honoring Black people and events that have contributed to the freedom and liberation of Afrikan people. It is a tradition that involves community building, fasting, physical training, reading/studying, reflection, and self-discipline. Started in the prisons, Black August has grown to be respected and practiced by thousands beyond the walls.

We will embrace the principles of unity, self-sacrifice, political education, physical training and resistance. There will be workshops and family events going on throughout the day. At 7 p.m. the event will close out with a concert put together by The Alternative.

This free event is for everyone and will be happening all day long. Please consider coming out to help engage and build the community around issues that matter to them most.

This all day event will take place at All Peoples Church: Havenwoods Campus: 5975 N. 40th Street.
