THE UNHEARD OUTCRY OF THE OPPRESSED STUDENT WILL BE SILENCED NO MORE!!!
No UW-System school student deserves to feel marginalized or oppressed at any UW-System Institution. It is time for the UW-Systems Institutions to answer to our cry for social progress and social justice on our campuses.
On Friday February 5 at 9 AM in Gordon Commons at UW Madison we will be continuing the UW-BlackOut Movement with our Seccond BlackOut Board of Regents Protest. We will continue to lift the demands of the students as we call out university officials on their lack of support and action in matters of Diversity, Inclusion, Harm against students of color, Campus social climate and the over all condition of non-majority students on campus. Our campuses are witnessing students wearing black face, racially charged incidents and students engaging in backlash against the protest of students of color. Rather than standing behind students of color in an attempt to make our campuses better for all students our administration (The Board of Regents) has passed a Free Speech Resolution that protects speech that can be considered discriminatory or hate speech. This does nothing but perpetuate a negative and hostile learning environment for students of color. Our protest calls for the removal of this resolution and the uplifting of our current demands that can be found in the link below.
Join us on February 5 as we fight for social justice in order to make the UW-System Schools a better learning environment for all Students. Invite supporters!
Wear All BLACK!
