Protest at the BLM auction of our public lands to Fossil Fuel Companies!
St. Patricks Day
Thurs., March 17, 10:00 am
The federal government’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is planning to hold a fossil fuel auction in Milwaukee on March 17th, where they’ll lease publicly owned lands to the fossil fuel industry for drilling and fracking.
The parcels of public land set to be auctioned are located in Mississippi, Louisiana, Michigan and Arkansas to fossil fuel companies on March 17 in Milwaukee. These auctions are held in various sites around the country. National 350.org has been helping organize local protests at these auctions and, as a result, 7 of the past 10 auctions have been canceled or postponed and moved to different sites….Now it’s Milwaukee’s turn to shut it down.
