We’ve all been deeply impacted by the latest police murder of Korryn Gaines, and the continued intracommunity violence and murders of black womyn, black queer womyn, and black trans womyn.
We want to hold space for those of us who are mourning, in pain, and want to be in community with others, to build a healing space where we will speak and lift their names and celebrate black life. Music and words will be shared throughout the evening.
Please gather Monday, August 8th starting at 7pm in Pere Marquette Park 900 N Plankinton Ave, Milwaukee. Vigil candles will be provided. Complimentary water will be available. Please bring any signage you’d like to create.
